Jacques Crommen is currently Professor Emeritus at the University of Liege, Belgium and Guest Professor at Jinan University in Guangzhou, China. He was Full Professor and Head of the Laboratory of Analytical Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the same University from 1991 to 2010. He was also Visiting Professor at the Catholic University of Louvain (UCL), Belgium and at the University of Sassari, Italy. He was Editor of the Journal of Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Analysis. He is a Member of the Belgian Royal Academy of Medicine, Honorary Member of the Hungarian Pharmaceutical Society and of the Belgian Society of Pharmaceutical Sciences. He was awarded the degree of Doctor honoris causa from the Iuliu Hatieganu University of Cluj-Napoca, Romania. His current research interests include the quantification of drugs, metabolites and disease biomarkers by miniaturized separation techniques coupled to mass spectrometry, chiral separations and analysis of counterfeit drugs by HPLC and capillary electrophoresis.
