George Reid is a Research Fellow in Analytical R&D at Pfizer’s Worldwide R&D Groton, CT USA laboratories. He has responsibilities in the area of separation science, vibrational spectroscopy, process analytical technology and modeling. Prior to this role, George had a project focus and was accountable for the development of analytics and control strategies for new drug candidates from pre-clinical through market application.
Prior to joining Pfizer in 1997, George was with Advanced Separation Technologies and had responsibilities in the areas of column development and outreach and customer support. He obtained his Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Missouri - Rolla under Professor Daniel Armstrong. George is the president of the Connecticut Separation Science Council (CSSC), and CSSC in partnership with the Hungarian Society for Separation Sciences sponsor the Csaba Horváth Award.
George’s professional interests include pharmaceutical analysis, in-situ analytics/PAT, separation science and computational predictive and optimization tools.
