- This delegate is presenting an abstract at this event.
Koji Otsuka studied analytical chemistry and received his Ph. D. from Kyoto University in 1986. After receiving the JSPS Fellowship for Young Scientists (1986–1988), he joined the Department of Industrial Chemistry, Osaka Prefectural College of Technology as a senior lecturer (1988–1990) and associate professor (1990–1995). He moved to the Department of Material Science, Faculty of Science, Himeji Institute of Technology as an associate professor of the Prof. Terabe’s Lab in 1995 until 2002. Finally, he joined the Department of Material Chemistry, Graduate School of Engineering, Kyoto University in 2002 as a full professor. His research interests include the development of micro/nano scale high performance separation techniques using electrophoretic and chromatographic methods. He has published approximately 150 manuscripts and book chapters, cited over 6300 times.
He received the Award of the Society for Chromatographic Sciences (2006) and the Chemical Society of Japan Award for Creative Work (2009). He is an editor of Journal of Separation Science and a member of the Permanent Scientific Committee of the HPLC Symposium Series.
