Biography
Roman Kaliszan, Member of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Polish Academy of Sciences and Arts, ScanBalt Academy and Foreign Member of the Academy of Sciences and Arts of Vojvodina, honorary doctor of the Medical University of Poznań, graduated with a concentration in Pharmaceutics from the Medical University of Gdańsk in 1968 and in Physics from the University of Gdańsk in 1973. He obtained both Ph.D. and D.Sc. in Medicinal Chemistry from the Medical University of Gdańsk, where he is a Full Professor since 1990 and where he was Rector Magnificus in term 2005-2008. He received several scientific awards, including the Prize of Prime Minister of Poland and the Prize of the Fundation for Polish Science. He authored 2 and co-authored 25 books and above 250 full length articles of Impact Factor of ca. 600 points and h index of 44, which got 6500 citations.
