I have been a research fellow at Deakin University since May 2012. My research has focused on the separation of very complex chemical mixtures by developing two-dimensional high performance liquid chromatography (2D-HPLC) techniques. Two-dimensional high performance liquid chromatography separates each component in the initial mixture twice, as long as interactions can occur in each dimension are based on different chemical characteristics. I have a strong interest in developing methods for diverse range of separation problems to gain as much information from a single experiment as possible.
I obtained my PhD qualification from the University of Western Sydney in September 2010 after receiving a Bachelor of Science (Chemistry)(Honours) from the same institution. Between UWS and my current position at Deakin Univeristy I worked at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, USA with Prof Georges Guiochon (May 2010 to May 2012).
