Doo Soo Chung is a professor at the Department of Chemistry, Seoul National University. He obtained a B.S and an M.S. degree in chemistry at Seoul National University in 1981 and 1983, respectively. Then he obtained an A.M degree in physics and a Ph.D. degree in chemical physics at Harvard University in 1986 and 1991, respectively. He performed postdoctoral researches at MIT, Harvard Medical School, and Iowa State University from 1990 to 1995. After being appointed as an assistant professor at Seoul National University in 1994, he has been working on a variety of topics ranging from the realization of molecule optics which controls the motion of molecules with light, to bioanalytical techniques such as capillary electrophoresis.
